Taylor’s School Tour| Study at a Bangkok International School for 400,000 THB a Year — Is DLTS Worth Choosing?
Time:2026-05-11

Today I paid an on-site visit to DLTS International School Bangkok. It is backed by Thailand’s well-established Denla Education Group. I’ve sorted out the school’s real situation and key notes in detail below, a must-read reference for parents who are currently choosing a school.

School Profile:

DLTS International School is a prestigious member of Thailand’s renowned Denla Education Group, which is widely recognized for its outstanding educational quality. As an IB Candidate School, DLTS delivers a modern American curriculum at the preschool level, alongside the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) for primary and lower secondary students. It enrolls children from Toddler level up to Grade 9.

At DLTS, the school places strong emphasis on experiential learning and forward-thinking education, with deep integration of STEM concepts. Its dynamic teaching approach nurtures students’ creativity and problem-solving skills, igniting a passion for lifelong learning. It empowers students to grow confidently and stand out in an ever-changing world.

Curriculum & Age Stages:

Preschool (2–6 years old)

  • Covers Toddler to Kindergarten Senior classes, with 16–18 students per class.

  • Adopts an American curriculum dominated by play-based learning, focusing on building foundational abilities in English, Math and Science, stimulating children’s curiosity and active exploration.

PYP Primary Level (7–11 years old)

  • Grades 1–5, 24 students per class.

  • Centered on IB learner profiles and learning approaches, cultivating abilities such as inquiry, communication, collaboration and critical thinking. Grade 5 students will hold a PYP Exhibition to present their learning outcomes.

MYP Lower Secondary Level (12–15 years old)

  • Grades 6–9, 24 students per class.

  • Implements the MYP curriculum, focusing on critical thinking, real-world application and personal growth. Taught by specialized subject teachers, interdisciplinary unit learning enhances students’ comprehensive understanding and knowledge application capabilities.

Teachers & Campus Facilities:

  • Fully international teaching staff; all subjects including Art, Music and PE are taught by foreign teachers with high-quality staffing.

  • Two new teaching buildings completed in 2025 with brand-new facilities.

  • A 15-minute drive from DBS International School, serving as its sister school.

Enrollment & Features:

  • Full student enrollment with nearly full class capacity at present.

  • Trilingual education in English, Chinese and Thai; daily Thai and Chinese language lessons are offered.

Tuition & Cost Performance:

  • Annual tuition from Kindergarten to Grade 8 is around over 400,000 Thai baht per year, offering great cost performance.

Campus Facilities:

In 2025, the school expanded its campus by adding two new teaching buildings on its site spanning over 30,000 square meters. The newly customized learning spaces include modern advanced classrooms, multi-purpose activity halls, and specialized zones such as Design & Technology Labs, Black Box Theatre, Science Labs, Robotics Labs and Art Studios.

The brand-new sports complex features an outdoor football field, squash courts, climbing walls and two indoor gymnasiums. Shared learning spaces are also available for students to study and grow in a vibrant campus environment, boosting academic progress as well as physical and mental well-being.

Extracurricular Activities:

Music & Art

DLTS Band consists of talented students who regularly perform at school and community events. Students can join internal and external art competitions to showcase their creativity and artistic talents.

Clubs

Every Friday from 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM, students can join a variety of after-school clubs to develop hobbies and personal strengths. Options cover academic skill improvement, sports, art & crafts, and STEM education.

Sports

The Shark Sports Club allows students to develop athletic skills and sportsmanship through football, basketball, golf, swimming and more.

After-School Programs

DLTS Academy offers over 35 after-school enrichment programs to cultivate students’ personal interests and goals, including robotics and Rubik’s Cube competitions.

Key Notes to Consider:

The proportion of Chinese students is below 5%, with local Thai students making up the majority. The daily campus language environment is mainly English and Thai, while formal Chinese lessons are also provided. Parents can make comprehensive decisions based on their children’s language learning goals.

Full official IB courses are only launched at the high school level. Curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 8 focuses on laying a solid academic foundation and cultivating good learning habits, allowing kids to avoid high-intensity IB academic pressure at an early age.
