Many parents have come to consult us: If children do not follow the traditional high school path, what other options do they have?

Today, I have sorted out four different paths for further education for everyone. The costs range from high to low, and you

can choose according to your budget. The last one is the most cost-effective and time-saving!

Route One: Study in high school in countries such as the UK, the US, Australia, Canada and

New Zealand (High budget, suitable for families planning to immigrate)

If the family's economic conditions are relatively good and they have plans to send their children to immigrate to

Europe or America in the future, they can consider sending their children directly to study

in high schools in countries such as the UK, the US, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

Tuition fee

The high school tuition fees for international students vary by country and school as follows:

The United States: $10,000 - $50,000 per year

Canada: CAD 10,000 - CAD 50,000 per year

UK: £10,000 - £40,000 per year

Australia: AUD 13,000 - AUD 40,000 per year

New Zealand: NZD 11,000 -NZD 40,000 per year

Other expenses:

Living expenses, accommodation fees, insurance and other costs are approximately 150,000 to 400,000 RMB per year, depending on the country and city.

Advantages

After completing high school education in the local area, applying to local universities is more advantageous and beneficial for future immigration planning.

Route Two: Transfer to international schools in Singapore, Malaysia, or Thailand (Medium budget,

suitable for families who wish their children to receive international education)

If you hope your child can receive an international education but your budget is limited, you

can consider transferring your child to an international school in Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand.

Tuition fee

Singapore: approximately S 30,000,-S 50,000 per year

Malaysia: approximately RM 40,000 - RM 150,000 per year

Thailand: approximately ฿ 700,000 - ฿ 1200,000/ year

Accommodation and living expenses

If we take a child living in a boarding school by themselves as an example, the annual living expenses for boarding are approximately between 80,000 and 150,000 RMB.

Advantages

International schools in these countries usually adopt the curriculum systems of the UK and the US. After graduation,

students can apply to universities in the UK, the US, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao and other places.

Route 3: Obtain a GED Diploma (Low budget, suitable for students with a weak foundation in English but hoping to advance quickly)

For students with A weak foundation in English who have difficulty adapting to IGCSE or A-level courses,

they can consider obtaining a qualification equivalent to an American high school diploma through the GED (General Educational Development) examination.

Examination subjects

Mathematics, science, social studies, language arts. The difficulty of the exam is easier than that of the regular international courses.

Cost

Examination fee: $36-$50 per subject, totaling approximately $144-$200 for four subjects.

Training cost: Each child has a different foundation, so the duration of training required may vary. Based on

the standard 3-month course, the training cost is approximately 50,000 RMB, which is far lower than the tuition fee for completing an international high school.

Advantages

After passing the GED test and combining it with IELTS or TOEFL scores, one can apply to universities in over 80 countries around the world.

Route Four: Go directly to Singapore to study at a private university (the most economical option, suitable for students who hope to enter university as soon as possible)

For students who hope to enter university as early as possible, they can consider directly going to Singapore to study at a private university and skip the high school stage.

Admission Requirements

The IELTS score should be above 5.5.

Tuition fee

Depending on different private universities, the tuition fee is approximately 15,000- 35,000 per year,

and the total cost for a three-year undergraduate program is approximately 50,000- 110,000.

Cost of living

The accommodation and living costs for students in Singapore for one year are approximately 150,000 RMB.

Advantages

Students can complete their undergraduate education at the age of 18 or 19, continue their postgraduate studies or enter the workplace earlier to accumulate work experience.

The above four paths each have their own advantages. The most important thing is to choose the route that suits your child.
