I. Document Category

Passport and visa

A passport is an essential document for going abroad. It is necessary to check its validity period to ensure that there are more than six months left.

The accompanying study visa needs to be applied for in advance through the Thai school. When applying, prepare the relevant materials as required.

At the same time, it is recommended to make several copies of the passport and visa pages and store them separately to ensure that they can be quickly reissued in case of loss.

2. Other important documents

The child's admission notice, birth certificate (notarized in both Chinese and English), vaccination records, copies of the household register, etc.

These documents may be needed when handling school enrollment, medical care and other affairs. Remember to sort them out and store them properly in a file bag.

Ii. Clothing category

Thailand has a tropical monsoon climate with high temperatures and humidity throughout the year. When choosing clothes, it is advisable to opt for light, breathable and quick-drying ones.

In summer, short sleeves, shorts, dresses and beachwear are indispensable. Also, prepare a few long-sleeved coats (for use in

air-conditioned rooms or when there is a temperature difference between day and night). It is recommended to bring sandals and sports shoes for convenient daily travel and exercise.

In addition, prepare 1-2 sets of formal clothing for school activities or important occasions.

Iii. Daily Necessities Category

Basic hair care and skin care

In local supermarkets in Thailand, you can purchase all kinds of personal care products and sunscreens. However, if you are accustomed

to using specific brands, it is advisable to bring a moderate amount. However, it is recommended to purchase mosquito repellent

after arriving in Thailand, as local products are more effective against tropical mosquitoes.

2. Cotton textiles and household items

Domestic cotton textiles of the same price range, such as towels, bath towels and bedding, are of better quality and come in a variety of styles.

You can carry a set as a spare. It is also recommended to bring your own slippers, which are in line with your personal habits and offer more choices.

Iv. Electronic Equipment Category

Electronic devices such as mobile phones, computers and tablets, along with their chargers, are essential. The voltage in Thailand is the

same as that in China (220V), but most sockets are two-hole round or three-hole flat. Remember to prepare a universal adapter plug.

In addition, bring a portable hard drive or cloud disk to facilitate the storage and transfer of important files.

V. Medical and Health Care Category

Prepare some commonly used medicines, such as fever-reducing medicine, cold medicine, stomach medicine, band-aids, etc., to deal with unexpected minor situations.

If you have chronic diseases or special medication needs, be sure to carry an adequate amount of medicine and have your doctor's prescription ready.

At the same time, it is recommended to purchase a local medical insurance policy to add an extra layer of protection for your health.

Vi. Learning and Culture

Prepare some Chinese exercise books and extracurricular reading materials for children to help them maintain the habit of learning Chinese.

Download Thai language learning apps such as "Duolingo" and "Thai Translator" to help children and parents get started quickly.

In addition, bring stationery, notebooks and other school supplies to avoid any delay in use due to unfamiliarity with the environment when you first arrive in Thailand.

Vii. Other thoughtful little items

Bring along some small items with commemorative significance, such as family photos, local specialties from your hometown, or your favorite trinkets, to fill your foreign home with a familiar warmth.

Considering the water quality issues in Thailand, you can carry a filter showerhead or a portable water filter to enhance your quality of life.

If you rent a house for a long time, a smart doorbell can enhance your sense of security and make it convenient to check on visitors.

The process of packing luggage is also an anticipation and planning for a new life. I hope this list can help you sort out your thoughts and easily

start your study companion journey in Thailand! If you have any other questions or would like to share your experience of accompanying study, please feel free to send us a private message!
